This week's #bloggersFALLfor trend for me personally was all about stepping out of my comfort zone and trying something new! Never in my entire life had I ever worn leopard print anything before this post, and it did take quite a bit of thought to figure out how I could fit it in with my own personal style esthetic. As a vegetarian I also needed to make sure that whatever I wore was purely just a leopard print as to try and remain as animal friendly as possible and not offend any of my fellow vegetarian friends out there and to not be the most ironic vegetarian on the face of the planet. The answer for me came in the form of these adorable leopard print Keds! I have a pair of classic white Keds that I wore all spring and summer this year that literally saved my back while pregnant, but I'd stopped wearing them with the season changes and realized that this was my perfect chance to have a comfy sneaker-style shoe for the cold seasons! For me now these leopard print shoes have honestly become more of a neutral go-to statement piece because the colors match with pretty much anything but because of the fun print they instantly make any regular outfit a bit more interesting! Because I needed the moral support on my fashion venture (and because literally EVERYTHING is cuter in baby sizes) I found Emery this darling bow from Target so that we could have a little mommy & me trend to wear together :) Her bow is actually a clip found in the girls section, but Hobby Lobby sells these headbands that have an extra piece of fabric that you can clip any bow onto so it worked out perfectly! This week was such a good mini life lesson for me to not be afraid of trying new things. It may sound silly, but since getting married and especially since having a baby I feel like I've subconsciously become a much more cautious person, and I'm sure some of that spread into my personal style choices. I feel like mixing things up a bit with my style is such a good boost of self confidence and a great reminder that I can totally stay true to myself and still have a bit of fun trying something new, even if it's something as small as some leopard print shoes. ;D Be sure to check out how all of my lovely blogger friends styled their leopard print below and check out #bloggersFALLfor on Instagram to see all of the trends featured so far! More to come next week! Cheers! :)
