So.... I know I have been a little MIA lately, BUT I have a REALLY good reason.
SURPRISE!! I told you it was a great reason!! :D
That's right folks, Kyle and I are very excited to announce that we are having a BABY in June of 2016!! We found out that we were expecting on Halloween Day (thus the complete lack of blogging since then) and have just been wrapping our heads around the idea of becoming parents ever since! We can't even describe in words how excited and blessed we feel to have the opportunity to be parents to this adorable little babe! We thought that New Years would be the perfect time to announce the news to the world since the New Year is typically filled with new beginnings, new hopes and dreams, and plenty of new exciting adventures! We will be sure to post updates along the way, and hope that you'll all enjoy joining in on this new adventure with us! The best really is yet to come! :D Happy 2016 to all of our friends and loved ones!
Baby Bump Update: 15 Weeks
I figured that I'd do these little updates every now and then to help keep family and friends back home updated as to how my pregnancy is going, as well as a way to keep a sort of journal for myself to remember what being pregnant is like. I figure things like this don't happen very often, and I want to try to remember it as best as I can!
How far along? 15 weeks. Maternity Clothes? Yep. I've been in "stretchy pants" since about 9 weeks because they are just WAY too comfortable to not wear. Most pre-pregnancy shirts, sweaters, and dresses are still working though. Sleep? Not great during the night since I'm really not used to sleeping on my side and now have to get up at least once a night to use the bathroom, but on a positive note I can sleep WAY longer than ever before getting pregnant and am now a huge nap advocate. ;D Food Cravings? Jamba Juice and ALL OF THE CANDY I can get ahold of. It's a real problem. Especially since my mother-in-law spoiled me with a ton of treats at Christmas! Queasy's? This is something I've been VERY fortunate in. My sense of smell is insanely sensitive and I can smell anything unpleasant (bad breath, cigarette smoke, dirty dishes/garbage, etc.) from a mile away, but typically as long as I can get enough sleep and keep food in my stomach I'm A-OK. Gender Prediction? Kyle and I seriously have no idea. When people ask us what we think we are having we usually shrug and answer with "a baby" (clever, I know). I took about six quizzes on the internet that told me we are having a girl, but we are hoping to hear within a couple of weeks from the actual doctor with an answer letting us know whether to expect a little gentleman or a little lady! Best pregnancy moment so far? Every time we get to hear our little baby's heartbeat (which I am proud to report is very strong!). Our baby is now big enough that he/she spends their free time doing cartwheels in my uterus (even though I can't feel any movement yet), and it is such a fun experience looking for the heartbeat, realizing that the babe is playing hide and go seek with us, and then finally finding it once the baby settles down and feeling an indescribable peace and gratitude that our baby is strong, healthy, and active.

I hope that you all enjoyed the little surprise and update! A huge thanks to our family and close friends that have given us so much love and support up to this point while we've been keeping the news a secret! Love you all!
